A visit

The weather hasn't been very kind to us lately. I'm officially cross. It makes it impossible to do anything but stay at home, work, read books, watch films (well, it's all nice but for winter time under a blanket maybe) or go for a walk in my wellingtones under an umbrella at the most. Unless...somebody very kind pays you a visit. This always makes the clouds clear up :) And when she comes with her little girl Ewa, who calls me Aunt Mimi by the way...this just melts my heart :) THANK YOU GOSIA!

Especially when she brings such treasures from her garden...

Crêpes for dinner

I love summertime. I love everything about it. Summer vegetables and fruits in particular. Every week there is something new. This time it's apricots and blueberries accompanied by delicious crepes. It truly was heaven on my plate. I slightly changed the pancake batter recipe, made it more delicate. I think the fresh summer colours made it even more scrumptious...mmm.

The batter:
3 eggs
0,5 milk
1 cup buttermilk
1 tbs sugar
1.5 cup flour

 The filling:
250gr white cottage cheese
1 cup vanilla joghurt
4 tbs milk

Well, but two crepes wasn't enough...

Afterwards we took Ginger for a walk...well, it should have a different name as we carried her around all the time.

Are we mad yet?

I must say our everyday life has been revolving around our dog lately. I wasn't expecting it to be easy but I didn't think it would be so absorbing either. We are trying our best to socialise Ginger as much as we can. We'd like her to be an outgoing kind of dog, she's been introduced to many of our friends already and she loved every one of them :)
Our recent posts have also been a bit monothematic but you must know that our life has turned upside down ever since Ginger became a member of our family...but we promise to entertain you with some other things as well :)

In the meantime...a few more pics of Ginger.
