Ever wondered what Darth Vader might taste like? ... Well me neither but guys from Stoyn obviously have and that's why they created these detailed depitions of pop culture icons in the form of tasty popsicles. So now you know that Darth Vader tastes like Blueberry and licorice and licking Che Guevara is like drinking rum:)

Tuna and parsley

Somehow I deleted all the pictures taken while preparing this dish but believe me, visual instructions are not necessary as this is THE easiest recipe ever, introduced to me by a good friend of mine many many years ago and still, I'm not bored with it. Well, in my case it's usually...the easier and quicker the better plus the taste will always remind me of those times with my friends.

All you need is....
...love...(don't you love this song?)

and any kind of pasta
can of tuna chunks (in water or brine, drained)
onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 cup sour cream
salt & pepper
lots and lots of parsley (actually, I'm not a very big fan of parsley but this is the only dish where I can add handfuls of it)

Fry the onion, add chopped garlic, tuna, fry for 3 mins, add cream and parsley, season with s&p...done!

Ooh! don't forget to boil the pasta :)

      Lemon tart

There is this place in Krakow, called Prowincja, one of the nicest and most popular pubs in the city. Apart from the pleasant atmosphere, they serve the most delicious, mouth watering lemon tart. To be honest, no matter how hard I try, it's bloody difficult to achieve what seems to be just a piece of cake :) Maybe they have a secret ingredient, I will never know but as for now, here is another attempt to hit perfection.

       Crust:
      200gr all purpose flour
      3 egg yolks
      100gr cold butter
      60gr sugar
      2 tbs sour cream
      vanilla sugar

Mix all the ingredients together and toss to form dough, pressing together into a ball as quickly as you can, put it to the freezer for a while. While you prepare the cream, take out the crust and roll it out onto a baking tin. Prick the crust with a fork. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake it for about 15 mins.

      Cream:
      5 egg yolks
      1 cup sugar
      100ml heavy cream
      juice of 4 lemons
      1 tbs potato flour

Mix the yolks with sugar until smooth. Add cream and potato flour, mix again, now add the juice. Pour into a saucepan and bring to the boil. When it cools down, pour onto the crust.

      Meringue
      5 egg whites
      8 tbs powdered sugar
      pinch of salt
      teaspoon of potato flour

Blend everything until thick. Put on the crust and in the oven for an hour at 150C. It only needs to dry, you may leave the oven slightly open.

      Egg timer

Are you one of those people who can NEVER boil an egg the way you like? It's always soft when you need it for a salad and it's like a stone when you feel like having a lovely, melting egg for breakfast, isn't it? I know this sounds like telemarketing but I just had to share it with you. I think this is one of the best kitchen inventions. You simply put it in a pot, boil together with the eggs and wait until the red colour turns into white, starting from the outer edges. I have tried this several times...and it really, really works perfectly.

You can find it here on polish allegro and here on ebay.

The dog fell off the pillow in the meantime..

...and then played with Kamil for a while.
