Weekend in pictures - Berlin

It was one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. Neither of us had really been to Berlin before so we were going there not sure what to expect. As it turns out this city is absolutely fantastic and now we want more. The fact that our friend, who has been there for almost ten years, showed us around has made this trip exceptionally interesting. We did see some of the most popular landmarks but the truth is Michal took us to places most tourists don’t really go to. We kind of saw the city from a local point of view. Accidentally, it also turned out to be one hell of a culinary trip as Michal and Antonia, his lovely girlfriend, took us to some mindblowing restaurants. There was vietnamese, italian and indian food and lots and lots of snacks inbetween. For the first time in weeks I actually enjoyed food or maybe the baby did but at least I took advantage.

Travelling by coach may not be the best idea while pregnant but I made it although it took some gymnastics to find the right position.

Obviously it required some getting-over-the-damn-coach-trip fun.

This couple treated us like a royal family, we are so greateful for their company.

As a mama to be I bothered all the children in the park…obviously. These two happened to be the cutest :)

Of course it was just a joke and these two gorgeous boys came with their momma, my dear friend from high school. It was so lovely to see her. Oh, and she brought our little baby the prettiest gift, I will show off a little later.

We saw both the city and the suburbs of Berlin and the weather really spoiled us.

It was just a regular sunday in a regular neighbourhood of Berlin, pff. There was food, there was music, there were cool people with their kids and dogs just enjoying their time. How cool is that!

This is one of the many places where the berlin wall used to divide the city.

And the Jewish memorial.

A selection of spreads we got at a local market. Amazing.

Currywurst was a must. Even I took a bite. Nothing special.

The most visible landmark of the city, the tv tower, you can see it from absolutely everywhere.

Antonia and Michal…thank you for having us, it was a blast. Berlin…thank you for being such a great city, we’re definitely coming back!
