When you have no idea what to cook for dinner and when all you have in the fridge is potatoes and onion…this is a really good idea. You can also serve it as a side dish with stew or mushroom sauce.
This is a traditional silesian recipe for a sunday dinner.
All you need is:
potatoes
potato flour
egg
s & p
onion
Boil and mash potatoes. Divide the mash into 3 parts and add 1/3 potato flour, an egg and s&p. Mix everything and form small balls, make a little hole with your finger. That’s what traditional silesian dumplings look like. Boil in salty water until they touch the surface.
It’s up to you how much potatoes you use as long as you add 1/3 potato flour.
